ASIMS co-founder Ross Seedsman will be presenting a paper at the 2015 Bowen Basin Symposium in October.  The paper is titled “Kinematics of Joint Bounded Blocks in Development Roadways and on the Longwall Face” and will focus on how the alignment of gateroads and longwall faces with respect to cleats and joints can impact on mine safety and productivity. Joint and cleat set data provided by ASIMS acoustic scanner interpretations can assist in determining optimum mine layouts in the context of both safety and face productivity.
