The MBGS Safety Management System has been developed to ensure we comply with our primary obligation of protecting the health, safety and welfare of our employees and others in the workplace.
Senior management recognises their responsibility to provide a high standard of leadership that continually reinforces the company’s safety culture. They ensure sufficient resources are provided to enable the company to meet its work health, safety and rehabilitation objectives and comply with client and legislative requirements.
MBGS recognise each employee’s right to a workplace that is, as far as practicable, without risk to their health, safety and welfare. With this right comes the responsibility of each employee to work cooperatively according to company policies, rules and procedures and to have regard for not only their own safety, but the safety of others in the workplace.
Our strategic objectives are:
- To strive toward zero reportable incidents and occupational illness from our employees
- To systematically manage and integrate safety and health responsibility into all business decisions, plans and operations
- To be compliant with applicable legislation and promote industry best practice
- To recognise and respond immediately and positively to the attitudes and concerns of employees, clients and other stakeholders through open communication and consultation
