Getail Mine Shanxi Province
Website translated into Mandarin - August 2016

To enhance our link with China, we have recently translated our website into the Mandarin language.  Since 2005 MBGS geologists have worked on various coal projects throughout China, in most of the main coal producing provinces such as Shanxi, Shaanxi, Nei Mongol, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Hebei, Guizhou, Yunnan and Sichuan.  Our work in China has included technical due diligence/M&A work, coal resource estimations, audits and contributions to IPO documents.  Highlights include visiting more than fifty different underground mines for advisory projects, often related to the amalgamation of smaller state and village owned and operated coal mines into larger enterprises.  One of the interesting aspects of working in China has been to observe mining techniques not ventured in many other places in the world, for example ‘longwall’ extraction in coal seams dipping over 45° or underground thin seam (0.3 m) extraction.
